A Case of Report of Primary Hodgkin¢¥s Disease Cecal Region



Abstract
A 47 year-old Korean male was admitted to the Soo-Do Medical s College Hospital on March 1960, because of vague abdominal pain, nausea, weight loss, constipation and palpable egg size mass on the right lower quadrant of the abdomen, which was first noticed about 4 months prior to admission.
Patient underwent surgery with a clinical diagnosis of Cancer of 3 Cecum. The surgical findings was as follows; there was `a large mass on the caecal region, the mass was freely movable, hard and the size

+ I was about fist size and invaded ileocecal mesentery. Resection from terminal ileum to ascending colon, length about 30cm., was done and end-to-side of transverse colon by-pass anastomosis was performed. ¢¥Patient was recoverd uneventfully.
Microscopical findings of this mass was reported as a primary Hodgkin¢¥s disease of cecal region.
Follow up study of upper G-I series and Barium enema was done 4 months after the operation and found no visible metastasis.
Anther reported a case of primary Hodgkin¢¥s disease of cecal region i which is very rare on references.
